Mr. Right? Pt. 1

I'm a pretty helpless romantic and, like many girls, am always daydreaming about my Prince Charming. However, God's really been trying to show me this: His timing is best. May this encourage all of you amazing, single people to find contentment in the beauty of single hood. I'm working on seeing it too :)

If you're future husband met you today, would he fall in love with you? Are you the version of yourself that he'll want to marry and is supposed to marry?

Stop worrying about him and who he'll be and start worrying about who you are. You want to know who he is, but you need to be focusing on who you are in Christ. You aren't ready for that relationship if you don't have a stable relationship with Christ. So, right now, even though it's hard, focus on God. Fall more and more in love with Him, so you'll know how to love your husband.

"'For I know the plans I have for you' declares the Lord. 'Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future.'" -Jeremiah 29:11

God has good plans for you. If He has a husband in store for you, God knows who he'll be and God will make sure he's right for you. You're God's daughter, and He won't settle for anything less than a Prince Charming for your husband, so why would you?

Have patience. I know you want that amazing love story with the beautiful proposal and wedding, and maybe one day you will, but right now you're here in the present. Live in it and get ready in it so you'll be ready for that beautiful future.

Stop looking for Mr. Right and start becoming Mrs. Right.
